The start of the year.

The show year started traditionally at Kajaani International show. The venue is not the best for basenjis as it's almost freezing there, but 2 of our juniors were entered. The 13 month old syblings Tico (Hi-Lite Honky Tonk) and Hertta (Fi Jw-11 HL Hula Hoops).
It was Tico's second time in official classes and he continued successfully being in the end BOB!! So first he of course won junior class, BM-1 with cc (being too young for cacib), BOB-junior and then BOB :))))

Sister Hertta won the jun bitch class and was BOS-junior and BB-4 with res-cc!! We absolutely adore this H-litter and could not be more proud of the dogs and their marvellous owners <3333

As we couldn't stay for the finals ourselves, Tico's lovely owners did instead, and Niina was obviously professionally handling Tico as 4th in the huge group!!!!! That is almost like a dream!

Thank you so much all our friends for your company and help as well thank you to the judges mr. Lehkonen and mrs. Talvitie.

So Tico now has a cc and a res-cc out of 2 tries, bro Rocky (Top Winning puppy 2011 He Jw-11 HL Hot Rod) has 2 x cc and 2 x res-cc from 5 shows and sweet Hertta has got a cc and 2 x res-cc out of 5 shows here in Finland. We cannot wait what the "puppies" will look like in the future!!!

Here is Tico at the age of 8 weeks, looking very nice already as a puppy:

Happy New Year 2012!!

And here two shots of our 7 days old S-litter. They are growing superbly and doing great! Thank you Katja (Minni's co-owner) for taking such good care of the little ones :)

Here you can see how the markings look like on each puppy:

And here's to be seen the big change in sizes in only one week!

The best Christmas present ever..

Got a phone call from Minni's co-owner at 2.30 AM on Christmas Eve and started driving fast in the snow storm... The birth was very easy and all the puppies were born by 6.30. Minni is being an excellent mother to her 5 sons and 1 girl :)

The puppies look just adorable and are strong and healthy and gaining weight. There was a need for more girls, but as only 1 is here, she will stay with her mom.
This is why there are 2 boys available to the right homes. If interested, please contact me for all your questions: hansukytta@hotmail.com or tel. +358-44-5381688.

Here some photos of the puppies 1 day old, enjoy!

It's Christmas time

Hi-Lite would like to say Merry Christmas to all our friends all over the world!
Take care of all your loved ones.

-Hansu & Janne-

Puppies will arrive soon(ish)....

Herewith a photo of Minni, on day 51 one in this one. As you can see, the tummy is quite big already.
Her co-owner Katja started to measure the temperature yesterday and it seems that the puppies will arrive before Christmas.... We are soooooo excited and cannot wait for the little princess and princesses to arrive :)))

2 Junior Winners!!!

Last weekend we had the biggest dog show event in Finland, the yearly winner shows in Helsinki.
On Saturday the judge mrs. Säde Hohteri fell in love with our young Rocky, well at least that's what we think she thought when reading the critique of Rocky... ;)
So he won the junior class and got the title Helsinki Junior Winner 2011!!

The others entered on Sat was Hertta, who got vg and CAO Faruk, who had g.

On Sunday the jugde was mr. Cox from Ireland. This time Rocky was again the best Finnish junior male, excellent 2. The winner was his Estonian cousin, both most handsome youngsters! Maisa was 3rd in the big champion class, with cq.

Hertta's photo by Kirsi Villberg, this was taken in August.

Our princess today was Hertta, who can now call herself Fi Jw-11 Hi-Lite Hula Hoops!! She moved and looked beautifully and won the junior class of 6 girls. We are so very proud of these young dogs and are grateful to their co-owners Mari and Laura!

Puppies definately on the way!!

Sweet Minni had an ultra scan today and she surely will have babies... ;)
Perhaps 7 plus something? LOL
The litter is due at Christmas Holidays.
