Wonderful day in Lahti!

I guess all the Basenji people in Finland were very excited about going to the show, because the judge for the first time ever was mrs. Anneli Pukkila of Sternhimmels Basenjis. The 2nd breeder judge in Finland. The entry in this international show was 23.

We only had Rocky and Maisa entered and the first dog out in the ring was Rocky in junior class. He "managed" to behave quite nicely this time and got excellent and most importantly had also the cq. Then in the best male competition I think we hit the jackpot as Rocky was chosen as the best male with a cc of course! It was a thrill!
Rocky's uncle, our Tuuli's handsome son Karma was 2nd best male, so it obviously is running in the family :)

Unfortunately, momma Maisa is in the worst time of changing coat and does really not look that good at the moment because of that, but in the end she was 3rd best bitch and we are more than pleased. Both our dogs got critiques to be really proud of!
Rocky was looking really handsome to me and was given the BOS prize. We highly appreciate this win!

Minni is a Finnish Champion!

Our sweet and beautiful momma Minni (Hi-Lite D'vine Bulldobas) got her final cc to finish her champion title today at Pyhäselkä group show!!!

This was only her 9th show and she has won 3 x cc and 3 x res-cc, which I think is pretty well ;))

I cannot believe in how good shape she is after her puppies, who are now shy 4 months old. Her co-owner Katja has loved her to bit which we are very grateful of. Thank you.

And thank you mr. Teini for giving our girl a marvellous critique.

Puppy plans for fall 2012!

We are plannning our next litter for fall 2012.
We will breed our beautiful, top winning girl Maisa aka C.I.B & FI & EE& NO CH EEJW-09 Bulldobas Crown Jewel to a top winning male 2011 in Finland "Duke" BISS FI CH PMJV-09 PMV-09 JV-09 Kimwitu's Duke E.



Maisa is already a proud mom of 4, Hi-Lite H-litter (with our own Timon), that has been more wonderful than we ever dreamed of.... Hi-Lite Hot Rod is the top winning puppy 2011 in Finland and He Jw-11 with a bunch of CCs already from junior classes. Sister Hertta (Hula Hoops) is also a multiple cc-winner as well as Fi Jw-11.... And the boy in the north, Hi-Lite Honky Tonk, that has been very sparingly shown so far, is the most gorgeous one can imagine! He has won a cc, BOB and group-4 at Kajaani Int show from junior class and 3 x BOB-puppy. I guess/hope there is more to come... - for all of them.
2 of these puppies have been already eye checked totally clean as is Maisa herself and the becoming father Duke too.

Last Saturday we also visited Vaasa Int show with Hertta only with us. She won her class with a cq and was BB-4. Brother Tico came also with his owners. He looked marvellous in the ring with Niina and was BM-3. We were very proud!

On Easter Monday we went to a big national show to Lappeenranta, where basenjis were judged by the Finnish allrounder judge mrs. Soile Bister.
I take it she fell in love with Rocky, as she many times told me how much he liked our boy.. :) So Rocky was the BOB winner of the day with a cc! 2nd BOB in Finland in a row.
Also sister Hertta was competing in junior class, winning it with cq, finally being 2nd best bitch and a cc as well. How proud I was of these 2 :D

In the group finals Rocky was also shortlisted among 8 best dogs in a very tough competition! But being a young rascal he is, he didn't behave as I would have hoped for and no placement this time, but good practise anyway.

So another great day it was, with lovely company. Congrats Ari for Siiri's BOS win! And our sincere congratulations to Rocky and Hertta's co-owners Laura and Mari (with the family) as well, you are the best.

Estonian trip

We had so much fun with Hertta's owner Mari in Rakvere! And resultwise I am pleased to announce that Hertta gained a title EE JCH on Saturday under judge mr. Markku Mähönen! He gave our princess BOS-junior and adult BOS as well.

Also brother Rocky received another jun-cc and was 2nd best male! So we had a class (tiny one ;)) of bubbling back at the hotel..

On Sunday both our dogs got excellents again with bb/bm placements, from judge mrs. Joanna Szcepanska-Korpetta (POL).
