Lilja's success

After the specialty, Mervi was so kind to take Lilja to Norway, to the traditional Tromssa show.

In the cold she was BOB with a cc and a cacib out of 7 basenjis under judge mrs. Vigdis Nymark (NOR). She was also shortlisted in the finals. Great news!!

During the midsummer weekend they went to another traditional show, to Rovaniemi International. The judge was mr. Svein Helgesen, and he gave "all" to her again :) As a crowning they went 4th best in Group!!! Very proud!! Congrats Mervi, give loads of kisses to that beauty...

Finnish Specialty show

Again it was a lovely weekend with our friends and over 100 basenjis! The judge this year was mrs. Sally Wallis of Zande Basenjis from England.

We are very happy to announce the results.

Hi-Lite Cola Candy "Vilho" 1st with hp and BOS-puppy of the show out of 25!! Congrats Paula and Teemu!

Hi-Lite Cotton Candy "Luna" 3rd with hp out of 12 bitch pups in her class! Congrats Mari and Timo!

Motion of Life At Wild Africa "Luru" 4th with hp out of 12 bitch pups in her class! Congrats Ari, Niina and Panu!

Hi-Lite Hot Rod "Rocky" excellent from champion class! Congrats Laura!

Bulldobas No Regrets "Timon" exc-2, cq from veteran class out of 9!

Hi-Lite Bulldobas Wow Factor "Lilja" exc-1, cq from intermediate class out of 8! Congrats Mervi and JP!

Hi-Lite Hula Hoops "Hertta" exc-4, cq in champion class out of 18 bitches!! Congrats Mari and Timo!

And ta-daa, Hi-Lite Saturday Night Fever "Ruuti" BEST IN SHOW OUT OF 82 AUDULTS!!! He is a miracle... Congrats Tuija and Aki!!

We love all these dogs to bits and are grateful to their owners.....

Helsinki All Breed Puppy Show

The day was grey and rainy, but results were great! The judge for 6 basenji puppies was Maija Sylgren, a brand new official judge for basenjis. First out were our boys, Rommi and Vilho. We love them to bits! Vilho looks fabulous and won the male puppy class. Rommi was 4th with hp. Luna was 2nd in bitches with hp.

In the end Vilho was BOB puppy! And he even managed to be Group-2! What a wonderful start for our puppies' career! Thank you judge :)

Wonderful, super sunny weekend!

On Saturday, Tuija and I took Timon and Ruuti to Joensuu International show. Basenji judge was mr. Eivind Mjaerum from Norway and he looooved our boys! Ruuti was BOB and Timon was BOB-veteran and 3rd best male. Icing on the cake were the finals, where Ruuti was placed Group-4 by judge mrs. Tuula Savolainen and Timon was shortlisted out of 90 veterans by mr. Paavo Mattila!! Well done boys!

On Sunday it was 2 shows. Lilja won BOB at Oulu International show with a cacib under judge mrs. Maret Kärdi from Estonia. Her critique was fabulous!! Congrats Mervi!!

At the same time Ruuti won anothe BOB at Joensuu Nationals all breed show by a Polish judge and was finally Group First!!! He is one beautiful dog and behaved like a dream <3 Thank you group judge mr. Pekka Teini!

Hamina-Helsinki road trip with the girls

My daughter Viivi and I and of course Ruuti's owner Tuija were very excited about going to this show weekend in Mervi's caravan!! So much fun we had!
Hamina Int show was at first and we didn't want to miss this jugde, ms. Sofie Lönn from Sweden, she is the breeder of Enigma Basenjis. She placed Ruuti as 2nd best male with res-cacib. The princess of the day was Lilja, with a fabulous critique! Very proud of Lilja's Best of Breed win!!



The BOS dog is Sternhimmels Orvar Odd, a son of our Rocky "Hi-Lite Hot Rod".


On Sunday in Helsinki basenjis were judged by mr. Mark Cocozza from GBR. This time Ruuti was Best male and BOS and Lilja was Bob-Junior and 2nd best bitch.

Tampere International

Who knew how this day would end? It certainly didn't start well.... First of all, a little accident with the car. Then on our way to the show I noticed I had forgotten one dog that I was supposed to show, at HOME!! How weird is that?? :D

Our boys did great again! Rocky won the champion class of 5 and finally was 2nd best male with a res-cacib. Ruuti was 4th best male! Raisu got vg. Lilja was exc-3 in intermediate class this time.

Our breeder's group got, once again, a lovely critique from the judge mr. Rainer Vuorinen and an honour's prize!

The crowning of the day was meeting little Vilho, Hi-Lite Cola Candy, for the first time since he left us at 8 weeks of age. He is shy of 5 months now and looking good...... Thank you Paula and Teemu for taking such good care of this lovely fellow!

Wonderful day at Lahti International

Gorgeous sunshine made the show day great. Lahti is always very nicely organized show and this time the judge was mr. Matti Tuominen.
First out were the males. Rocky started his show year being no less than best male and in the end also best of breed! Ruuti was gorgeous too and was 2nd best male!!! Raisu was 3rd in champion class with vg.

Lilja continued her winning ways being the first of the bitches with a cc and BOS, also BOB-junior.
Our breeders group got a lovely critique and honour's prize!

In the finals little Lilja amazed us being the 4th best junior in a competition sponsored by Royal Canin! Someone said it was perhaps 90 juniors... WOW!
