Hamina-Helsinki road trip with the girls

My daughter Viivi and I and of course Ruuti's owner Tuija were very excited about going to this show weekend in Mervi's caravan!! So much fun we had!
Hamina Int show was at first and we didn't want to miss this jugde, ms. Sofie Lönn from Sweden, she is the breeder of Enigma Basenjis. She placed Ruuti as 2nd best male with res-cacib. The princess of the day was Lilja, with a fabulous critique! Very proud of Lilja's Best of Breed win!!



The BOS dog is Sternhimmels Orvar Odd, a son of our Rocky "Hi-Lite Hot Rod".


On Sunday in Helsinki basenjis were judged by mr. Mark Cocozza from GBR. This time Ruuti was Best male and BOS and Lilja was Bob-Junior and 2nd best bitch.

Tampere International

Who knew how this day would end? It certainly didn't start well.... First of all, a little accident with the car. Then on our way to the show I noticed I had forgotten one dog that I was supposed to show, at HOME!! How weird is that?? :D

Our boys did great again! Rocky won the champion class of 5 and finally was 2nd best male with a res-cacib. Ruuti was 4th best male! Raisu got vg. Lilja was exc-3 in intermediate class this time.

Our breeder's group got, once again, a lovely critique from the judge mr. Rainer Vuorinen and an honour's prize!

The crowning of the day was meeting little Vilho, Hi-Lite Cola Candy, for the first time since he left us at 8 weeks of age. He is shy of 5 months now and looking good...... Thank you Paula and Teemu for taking such good care of this lovely fellow!

Wonderful day at Lahti International

Gorgeous sunshine made the show day great. Lahti is always very nicely organized show and this time the judge was mr. Matti Tuominen.
First out were the males. Rocky started his show year being no less than best male and in the end also best of breed! Ruuti was gorgeous too and was 2nd best male!!! Raisu was 3rd in champion class with vg.

Lilja continued her winning ways being the first of the bitches with a cc and BOS, also BOB-junior.
Our breeders group got a lovely critique and honour's prize!

In the finals little Lilja amazed us being the 4th best junior in a competition sponsored by Royal Canin! Someone said it was perhaps 90 juniors... WOW!

Lilja BOB at Vaasa International!

Got a lovely phone call once again from Mervi, who took Lilja to Vaasta international show. The judge of basenjis was Leni Finne and she gave our princess BOB with a cc and a cacib!!! Love to get this sort of wonderful news, congrats Mervi!!

Luna at a match show

Mari and I decided to take little Luna to a match show, because the weather has been very nice lately. She is only 4,5 months old, but still somehow managed to show her quality from time to time and ended up being BEST IN SHOW-3!!
We hope the future will be very bright for this lovely, beautiful tricolour girl :)

Lilja in Estonia

Luckily Mervi was eager enough to take Lilja to Estonia to be shown at Narva International show during Easter. The entry of basenjis was very nice, maybe 15 or so. The judge mrs. Viva Maria Soleckyj-Szpunar from Poland still loved her like she did last November at Jyväskylä Int. So Lilja was best of breed with a cc and as she was shown for the first time in intermediate class, she also got her first cacib!!
The crowning was Lilja's Group-4 placement, super!!! Wonderful weekend, congrats Mervi!

Welcome to Finland little Luru!

Last weekend our pack got an addition in the form of Luru, little stripey princess coming from Latvia. Luru's pedigree name is Motion Of Life At Wild Africa and her breeder is Anna Cheich-Sultan - thank you!!
She is everything we waited for from the pictures, very beautiful, excellent proportions, beautiful head and lovely expression and smooth coat and colour. Verryyyyy pleased so far, let's just wait for her to grow up a bit as she is now 4 months old.

Luru is co-owned with Niina Virkkunen and Ari Ruotsalainen (kennel Bubbling Under). Thanks Niina for opening your heart to Luru and offering her the best home possible <3 Here a couple of pictures of this tiger beauty.
